While friends where always telling him "Todd, your pizza is the best, you should have your own a pizzeria!", the idea became soon reality when Todd Basilone and Ryan (long-time friends who met in Pittsburgh) moved to Talkeetna, Alaska. They speculated over a burned down building on Main Street right in the middle of Downtown Talkeetna. The motivated Talkeetnans started to renovate the old building, putting in many hours of work: drywalls, plumbing, wood work, kitchen equipment... and soon to follow the now famous "purple" color decorating the building's inside and outside.

Soon the pizzeria opened its door, and Todd was now not only able to impress his friends with his italian style pies, but also the many visitors of Talkeetna dropping in from all corners of the world – and of course locals alike who swing by on their ATV's in the summer and on snowmachines in the wintertime.
